What are the participating organizations' responsibilities and obligations? The professional development service is provided in conjunction with our teacher placement service for international teacher clients of our organization. The employer will need to consider the qualifications of our candidate teachers for temporary employment. We designed this program to serve both U.S. schools and our international teacher clients. What is the procedure to participate in the program? a) Submit Inquiry Form. Please complete and send us the Inquiry Form first. We will contact you and discuss how our program can serve the particular needs of your organization. b) Service Agreement. When we meet your school's needs, a Service Agreement is prepared and signed by both parties to agree on the scope of services and responsibilities. c) Program Schedule. The Program Supervisor will develop a program schedule specific to your requests for your review. If I hire teachers referred by Teachers Council, is there any special conditions to employ the teacher, i.e. the amount of salary? There are two special conditions: One, the employer must pay at least the local prevailing wage suggested by the Department of Labor. For instance, the prevailing wage suggested by the Department of Labor for the Indian River County, Florida area is $9.14 per hour (Entry Level Teacher) or $11.75 per hour (Upper Level Teacher with Advanced Degree). Wages for other counties may vary. Second, the employer must submit a visa sponsorship petition (one time) to hire the international teacher.
