Teacher Internships/Trainings - Program Details

Program Overview:

TC offers an international cultural exchange program primarily for educators who recently graduated with a BA degree from an accredited college or university. Various private and public schools in the United States provide internships and training for international educators to learn US teaching methods and gain experience in teaching under the supervision of certified teachers. Interns and trainees will also benefit by improving their English skills and obtaining knowledge of US culture. Interns and trainees will be able to take this experience, knowledge and education back to their home country to improve their careers.

Locations:

Schools are located throughout the United States

Qualifications:

4-year bachelor's degree.

1 year of teaching experience

English fluency.

IMPORTANT - Applicants for a Montessori internship must also have Montessori training / certification.

Duration:

Internships are for a maximum of 18 months based upon educator ’ s and schools objectives and programs.

Training:

Training plans for the internship will describe the specific objectives, functions, purposes and benefits of the program.

Application Procedure for Interns:

  • Complete Teachers Council online application form.
  • Send your resume, transcripts, and diplomas to info@teacherscouncil.com. If you are applying for a Montessori internship, also submit your Montessori certification or other documentation of your Montessori training.
  • Preliminary interviews will be scheduled with Teachers Council.
  • TC will match you with an appropriate school in the US .
  • US government designated sponsor that partners with Teachers Council will issue the documentation necessary for you to obtain your J-1 Visa from the US consular office in your home country.
