What kind of visa will I get? Teachers Council will partner with a J-1 sponsor designated by the Department of State that will provide you with documentation so that US Consular Office in your home country will issue the J-1 visa. What is the term of the internship? Most internships are for 18 months. However, one academic year of 10-12 months is possible. After the internship, you are required to return to your home country. Can I tour the US while I'm there? Yes. Opportunities are available during school breaks, holidays and after your internship to tour the US .
